2000 Lola B2K40
The Lola B2K/40 was released in 2000 by Lola Cars for competition in the FIA Sports Car Championship, Grand Am Championship series, 24 Hours of Le Mans, and American Le Mans Series. The B2K/40 competed in the SR2, LMP675, and LMP2 classes. The Lola B2K/40 utilizes an aluminum monocoque construction with double wishbone rocker inboard suspension. Most B2K/40s used a 3.0 liter AER Nissan V6 mated to a Hewland sequential gearbox however, various engines have been adapted to the chassis including a Turbocharged Mazda 2-rotor, Porsche Flat 6, turbo Millington Ford inline 4, and Judd V8. The B2K/40 competed from 2000 through 2006 taking numerous wins including the 24 hours of Daytona, 12 hours of Sebring, and 24 hours of Le Mans in addition to multiple championships.
This Lola B2K/40 is chassis #HU11. This B2K/40 debuted at the 2001 24 hours of Daytona with Archangel Motorsport Services and took the SRP2 class win continuing competition in the Grand Am series through 2003. The car was later fitted with a 3.4 liter Judd V8 for LMP2 competition in the 2005 12 hours of Sebring with Telessis Intersport Racing. The car has been returned to its original configuration with an AER Nissan 3.0 V6 mated to a Hewland sequential gearbox and needs minor work to be completed.
